How does the Google Adsense work?
I have a forum that’s been around for a few weeks, but we already have 111 members. We want to raise money so we can get a nice domain. One of my members suggested Adsense.
I’m not 18 yet, so we’re using my mother’s name& account.
How does this thing work? How does the tax work? I didn’t know about the tax thing when I submitted the application, and if it’s going to make things complicated with tax forms and all, we might not do it.
And how much do we earn? And how do we get it?

You place the code on your site. Google shows ads that are usually relevant to the content of the page. If your visitors click on an ad, you get a little bit of money. If you or your visitors purposely click on ads to raise money, you get banned from the program. Resist the urge to click your own ads. Read the rules – you’re not even allowed to encourage people to click on ads.

You’ll get notified about earnings at the end of the year. Check with your tax preparer about the need to declare your earnings or not.

It depends on how much the advertisers have bid to get a click on their ad. It can be as low as a dime per click, or as much as several dollars per click.

They’ll send you a check, or deposit it directly into your bank account.
