Make Money Quilting

I quilt, I am a Quilter, I love quilting, and I love the quilt. Quilting has enriched my life in ways you never dreamed of. I learned interesting things about history, because of quilts. I made a lot of friends, and traveled by the opportunities for padding.

To make quilting fun and be capable of initiating and completing projects with the least amount of stress and avoid hunting for tools a good sewing room organized is a necessity. Here are tried and true ideas and tips on how organize a sewing and quilting room, no matter the size. If you use the space for other purposes, such as an office, art gallery or even a bedroom organization can create more time for you to focus on sewing and quilting.

1. Ask your sewing machine, ironing board and cutting table arranged so which are easily accessible. Get a system going for you to take fewer steps between the iron and the sewing machine that will save time and be more efficient. Or if you do not have room for all these in the same room who only thinks he is doing exercise, going from room to room instead to save time.

2. Use baskets or other gadgets of fabric and quilting stores sell the store to keep your tools in place them next to where you get the most use. Be sure to put again in the same container after use, as this saves a lot of time. If you store your tools in a different room from where you sew, containers make it very easy to transport tools that you need and then be put back in storage, with a minimum of effort or time.

a. For example, the tools used in place of the ironing board near the ironing board. This could include a pressure cloth, spray bottle, pin cushion a small pair of scissors and a measuring gauge. I have bought an ironing board cover with measurements printed on the cover.

b. Next to the sewing machine, you need a pincushion, scissors, seam ripper, wastebasket for threads, or you can tape a plastic bag or paper to your table for sewing threads. Also have extra wire and coils around the machine. A magnetic board to keep the project directions is very useful. I love my Side Winder winder laptop that I keep in my sewing table.

c. On the cutting table having a rotary cutter, rulers, cutting mat, pencil, pen, notebook and pin cushion. Cut instructions for your project can begin here, where the cut and then you can move to your area when you begin sewing machines to sew. Any of tape on the wall or the PIN of a curtain or attach a small magnetic board on the wall to hold them.

3. Sort by his canvases of color and then organize, within the color group such as batik, novelty, florals, flannels and home. Or organized by the light, medium and dark in color. Clear plastic boxes / buckets work good to hold and contain the material. When replacing the material put back where it belongs, this saves time and frustration. If you store your fabric on the shelf could shelf label with the type of material that goes on the platform.

4. Draft zippered vinyl bags are great to use for storage in the short term. Plastic bags with zippers that sheets and bedding are also at work for storage and are a great way to recycle. They may have a project, in strips or a kit. They are easy to carry anywhere, if you have a project that is taking a class.

By organizing your sewing room or sewing space in a way that the supplies and tools easy to find and are suitable for use you'll have more fun and more time to sew in place to spend their time looking for what you need. It takes time to get everything as you want but it is worth it.

Sew Happy Quilting happy.
