If you are going to succeed on the Internet to make money, you need to pay close attention to search engines your website. A high ranking on the engines search for specific words or themes is the difference between total failure and a successful website.

Over 80% of people on the Internet are what they want by using search engines. The Google search engine is by far, followed by Yahoo, and MSN. If you can get the pages on your website the first page of Google will most likely get a steady stream of visitors. That's what everyone is trying to do and that is what is called SEO or Search Engine Optimization.

SEO is as complicated as you want to, but need not be so. The title you use on your blog or website is the most important of all. Sure using key words or important phrases you have chosen for each title as this is the first thing search engines see. The title should be carefully thought and destination to say exactly what you want your visitors are looking for.

Your websites content is also very important. Search engines can not read images and graphics to take into account that while a picture or two can make your site look better, it does nothing to tell Google what your page is. Sure that repeating your keywords from time to time, but try not to put too many times on a page. This is called "keyword stuffing" and may end up altering the gods of Google if you do.

After writing quality content targeted to your site, it's time to think about the links. Another way Google determines what your site is a question of looking at the links that link to your site. If all links to your site with the words "fast cars", then Google will determine your site is about fast cars and not "the tall trees.

The number of incoming links and what is its link text is ( "fast cars "would be the anchor text) helps Google decide not only what your site is about but also how important it is. If the site has 10 inbound links about cars Fast and another has 100 of the same type of links, Google decides that your competitor's site is more "important" than yours and the list is likely that the site ahead of yours. That is why we must always obtain entry links to maintain and improve search engine rankings of your website.

In the end, websites with high rankings in search engines will make more money than people with low rankings. They get more visitors, and if placed correctly, visitors will translate into dollars. The game of internet marketing is a complicated game that anyone can play, but only those who know what they are doing will be successful.

Google search is a web search engine owned by Google Inc. and is the most-used search engine on the Web. Google receives several hundred million queries each day through its various services. Google search was originally developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997. Beyond the original word-search capability, Google Search provides more than 22 special features, such as: synonyms; weather forecasts; time zones; stock quotes; maps; earthquake data; movie showtimes; airports; home listings; sports scores, etc. (see below: Special features). There are special features for numbers: prices; temperatures; money/unit conversions (10.5 cm in inches); calculations ( 3*4+sqrt(6)-pi/2 ); package tracking; patents; area codes; plus rudimentary language translation of displayed pages. A Google search-results page is ordered by a priority rank called a PageRank which is kept secret to avoid spammers from forcing their pages to the top. Google Search provides many options for customized search (see below: Search options), such as: exclusion (-xx), inclusion (+xx), alternatives (xx OR yy), and wildcard matching (xx*).
